Brian P. Pickett, born December 9, 1976, in Chicago, IL, is a Black American Christian, businessman, politician, community advocate, and true humanitarian.
Brian P. Pickett was born and partially raised on Chicago’s Near North Side by his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. CJ and Betty Pickett. Both are entrepreneurs; owning and operating a well-known Barber & Beauty Salon on Chicago’s westside, which is still operating today and has been for more than half a century. Mr. and Mrs. Pickett raised and exposed their son to strong family ties/values and entrepreneurship during his early childhood.
Brian P. Pickett’s education started at the age of three, when his mother registered him into pre-school at the Olivet Day Care on the Near North Side of Chicago. He also attended Manierre and St. Joseph Elementary, and Holy Name Cathedral/Trinity High School. Mr. Pickett completed his education at Malcolm X College where he minored in Criminal Justice and majored in Mortuary Science.
Brian P. Pickett has been raised by both of his parents with a host of siblings, with true morals, principles, family values, and a major respect for women.
The Very Beginning
Brian P. Pickett was blessed to purchase the Jos. Johnson Funeral Home on Chicago’s Near North Side in
November of 2002, from its original owner, Mr. Joseph Johnson. Mr. Johnson remembered Mr. Pickett as a young man
from the neighborhood going around the funeral home expressing his interest and passion for the business.
Therefore, Mr. Johnson sent for Mr. Pickett to come and sit down with him; making Mr. Pickett an offer he couldn’t refuse. That is when the Brian P. Pickett Funeral Group was officially founded; to serve as a corporate/umbrella company for the Johnson Funeral Home. It was later renamed the Brian P. Pickett’s Johnson Funeral Home (Near North Side). Brian P. Pickett Funeral Home I (Westside), and other establishments that Mr. Pickett aspired to acquire, serves bereaved families during their time of need and during the process of their loved ones passing away. Mr. Pickett founded the United Citizens Network of America, which is a political and community national organization. He also founded the Brian P. Pickett Foundation, NFP. Both organizations help thousands of people on so many levels, as you will read about in the next statement.

His Legacy
In the year of 2000, he married at the age of twenty-three, and from this marriage a beautiful young daughter, by the name of Brianna P. Pickett was born in February of 2002. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in a divorce against his wishes. However, the courts awarded Mr. Brian P. Pickett with his beautiful daughter, after the guardian ad litem investigated and concluded it would be in the best interest of the minor child to remain with her father. Mr. Pickett has actively contributed to the well-being of his daughter through the following; attending school for parent-teacher conferences & studies, disciplining, taking her to doctors’ appointments, involving her in extracurricular activities, doing her hair himself, feeding her, raising her in the church, traveling with her, clothing her, taking her every place he would go, and anything else. Mr. Pickett’s daughter and his relationship are above reproach. Even today, Ms. Brianna is respected and following in her father’s footsteps, loving and helping others, and helping with the family business. She serves as the Vice President.
His Marriage To
His Beautiful Queen
On September 4, 2024, Mr. Pickett married his beaitful Queen, Alexandra Elias, In the U.S. Virgin Islands of St. Thomas. On August 8th of 2018, he made it official by becoming exclusive with Alexandra after becoming friends prior to this time, hanging out all day, day to day, doing things with the children, work outside of and around the funeral home, talking all night on the phone, and countless of other things that stole Mr. Pickett's heart.
Mr. Pickett would always say, that normally, a way to a man's heart would be through his stomach, but the way to his heart was through his daughter, Brianna, and Alexandra took the time helping him with lady like choices for Brianna during special times of her life such as her 8th grade luncheon, 8th grade graduation, sweet 16, and other celebratories where Brianna had to get dolled up, Alexandra being a diva herself, she made sure Brianna did not come short. As time progressed, to this day, he nor Alexandra could tell you when they fell in love, it all just happened naturally, becoming the best of friends.
Serving From the Heart...
Brian P. Pickett has been hired and/or volunteered and received training from numerous agencies and work forces, which include the following: corporate, restaurants, law enforcement, acting, film and stage play producing, multi-level marketing, community, and political organizations.
The Freemasons/33rd Degree and the funeral industry has equipped Mr. Pickett with a wealth of knowledge and experiences, which have made him the strong, knowledgeable, true humanitarian, profound businessman, politician, and community advocate he is today.
Mr. Pickett has assisted thousands of families/individuals with starting new businesses and helped existing, struggling businesses to succeed. He has counseled many marriages/relationships by helping to better them, mentored many men and sponsored seminars teaching all on how to become better people, hosted countless feedings, clothing drives, and school supply give aways servicing thousands of underserved and homeless families/individuals.

Mr. Pickett has also hosted state-wide moral building rallies, where many would come out and play children/adult games, express their concerns to create a solution, share their talents, and watch the Jesse White Tumblers entertain them with their performances.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, he took the initiative and helped to feed many starving families, not only in Illinois, but in other states across the United States and countries such as Kenya, Liberia, and Jamaica.

Mr. Pickett has even helped many people find jobs and assisted ex-offenders readapt back into their communities. He has supported countless others with finding their passion by encouraging and assisting them in following it
